Board Game Arena

After playing a season of 2p arena, I want to add a vote for 3p arena. I think having more players increases the complexity of the game in an interesting way. But I would not like 4p as then I would have to wait longer between turns.

Luckily, the other players in my game were able to kick me from the game, and the small ding to my reputation is worth the ability to play turn-based games again.

Am I misunderstanding how this works? I thought the strongest player faced the strongest invasion?

Here are the (X) and Invasion values from a recent three player game:

(X):0 INVASION: 4
(X):3 INVASION: -1
(X):3 INVASION: 1

Shouldn't the (X)=0 player get the lowest invasion card?
