Re: A Resign Button

There are problems with this. Programming an AI to make reasonable moves is a large undertaking in most games. Programming to make the first (or a random) legal move leads to other problems. Simply removing them from play upsets several games that have balance mechanisms based on number of players....

Re: how to avoid timing out of games when just learning the game?

1. Play games with slow speed instead of 'fast'
2. Try out turn-based games
3. OR just play in training mode, it is basically designed for newbies to learn the game.

Re: More On Roll Probability

Your entire argument is predicated on one false assumption: That I give a crap about your or anyone else's opinion. I examined the data and got a result. I couldn't care less what you or anyone else thinks about that. It's not my job to crusade on the internet trying to convince of something you wi...

Re: 4 player Arena is so different to 3 player

Yeah, they are completely different, especially when you're used to the 3p game. This arena season the first time I played I went like -200 rating in points. I think once you get used to it, it'll be fine. It is important to notice the gray resources (they are in such low amounts) and whether you're...

Rematch feature for turn-based Arena

It would be great if there was an option to start another arena game immediately, for turn-based games, like the real-time option. It would make starting games much faster and would lead to more arena games being played.

Re: More On Roll Probability

I am unwilling to share the data because A: I don't have it anymore since I was done with it and B: No amount of data is good enough for the true believers Anyone can just come in and say what you said and then just say I don't have it anymore because reasons. (A) I highly doubt that anyone would t...

Re: Pythia v0.5 - visual aid helper for 7 Wonders BGA

I don't understand what you means about the "even level playing field". Either you create tournament/arena with this tool enabled for everyone, either you disable it for everyone. Of course if some players have access to it and others don't, they won't be even. This is not trivial, this is one of t...

You may want to try Marram, which shares some of the features of Carcassonne but has unique elements which both amplify and mitigate a blocking style of play.
Seconding that one.

Re: Pythia v0.5 - visual aid helper for 7 Wonders BGA

do you think 7Wonders is a memory game ? That's an important part of the game for sure. The simplest situation that I can think of, is with hands 6-5 with 4p-3p respectively. Those hands will later come back as a 2-hand, so you want to remember what they have so that you can decided whether you'll ...
