Re: Quitting to prevent partner from losing elo.

Cobra has been there twice, i have been there once, but I would never argue that i actually reached 500 because of cheaters or leavers. I didnt reach it and thats it. If you face cheaters in a game, stay pure and dont "countercheat", even if it seems fair at tut point. We have our first 50...

Re: Quitting to prevent partner from losing elo.

I am sure we all feel gutted and annoyed when this happens. The same feeling would end up happening to a person who was on the verge of winning and had a game quit against them. So to me the question is not whether any player deserves a certain elo point or not. The debate is about quitting / Cheat...

Re: Quitting to prevent partner from losing elo.

At the end of the day, we are all here to play Tichu, a game that we are all so clearly addicted to. Let's shift the focus back to the game, not create a soap opera out of it. I believe that this topic should not be continued any further. Fully agree. One last side note to avoid misunderstandings: ...

If ELO is so meaningless, then why create several accounts for strangers and for high ELO partners?

Re: Quitting to prevent partner from losing elo.

People quit for a myriad of reasons; perhaps there was a sudden emergency, such as a family member needing some help and sufficient notice could not be given, or even simply not wanting to continue the game for whatever reasons. It happens - life happens. Cobra already stated why she left the game....

Re: Abandon request as a cheat strategy (* is a cheater)

Sadly both moderators and admins have left this place as it seems. Nothing will happen.

We have a known cheater at Tichu for half a year now. Emails and notifications are unresponded. After 5-6 tries I gave up.

Re: Arena season 9: go !

Cheating Some (rare) case of cheating have been spotted in the previous season. You have to keep in mind that a player cheating the Arena is quite easy to spot, by admins, moderators, and even by simple players. Thus, it is impossible to heavily abuse the system without triggering warnings. Our adv...

Re: lots of double sixes?

i seem to see lots of double sixes in this game. Four on the trot in one game. is this just statistical fluke or has anyone else experienced this? In a 2 - player - game, the probability to roll 4 or more 6-6 is almost exactly 5%. Which means in average every 20th game you should see 4 or more 6-6 ...
