Nothing to do with BGA, but I must say that I hate the new upgrade icons, they are so generic and impersonal that take away a lot of the charm of the game. Still too early to give an opinion on the rule changes, but balance changes are looking good. Totally agree. Whats more, weather conditions car...

Wow, in my opinion thats not "really close to the original game". Those rules changes gameplay completely. Good old tactics wont work (e.g. passive start, blind collecting bamboo) but the game became less luck dependent (i hope at least).
