There is a work around for this - you scroll up till the beetles are half off the screen and then you can select them.

Remove the “standard” option for games?

Greetings hive community. I see no good reason to keep the standard option open on hive games. Any games that start with queen either greatly favor the first person to play a queen or end in a draw. Why even give people the choice? If I’m missing something I’d be glad to hear what it is.

Thanks Lotus Blossom - I figured it out - on my phone the beetle discription is so large that when vertical - it prevents me from seeing the bettle and so choosing it. I solved it by turning my phone to landscape mode.

I sometimes have trouble placing beetles. Is there a rule about when you can add them to the game?

I sometimes am unable to select beetles from the reserve pile. Is there a rule or is it a problem with my phone?
