Re: Can I deactivate my account?

Basically, I want to know if it's possible to deactivate my account without actually deleting it. There is a matching post somewhere (a player wanted to be blocked for some time because of an addiction problem), and BGA said you could contact support for this: support@boardgamearena.com Thanks! Tha...

Re: Can I deactivate my account?

The endgame is that I want the option to come back once in a while, to play with friends, etc, while still having the account and accomplishments intact. Setting my Elo values to 0 or locking myself out of the account would not accomplish that. Alternatively, if there is a way for BGA support to sim...

Can I deactivate my account?

Basically, I want to know if it's possible to deactivate my account without actually deleting it. I don't want to lose all my accomplishments and records, I just don't want to access it. And/or if it's possible to drop my premium membership early? (I cancelled it, but it's in effect until November)....

Re: Mining Area

For 2p, I think you should generally buy mining area in the opener unless it prevents a critical gen 1 play. You're likely to get good use out of it at some point. SP city is virtually never correct. I'd say the decision between SP Greenery and Pass typically comes down to how many other plays you h...

Re: Controlling the endgame

One of the biggest components of Mars is game control, and in particular game length control. The player who controls when the game ends has a huge advantage. If they are winning (and won't sacrifice the win by committing too much money into ending), they can end into a win. If they are losing, but...

Re: Placing Pets/Microbes in Terraforming Mars

Only certain blue cards can hold microbes (e.g. tardigrades, decomposers) or animals (e.g. pets, herbivores). Those cards will either have an action or effect that lets you put animals/microbes on that card. When a card tells you to put microbes/animals on *another* card, you can only do so if you h...

Re: Wondering about the popularity of 'no live scoring'

All due respect, the "printed VP on cards are not visible" argument is absurd. First of all, that's simply not true - you are allowed to look at what cards your opponent has played. And even if you weren't allowed to look at the card VP but only the card name, any veteran of the game knows...
