Board Game Arena

This site has brought me an incredible amount of pleasure and I am very grateful for your efforts in bringing it to the stage it is at.

I created an Imhotep arena players group with the idea that you can solicit games via specific chat channel. There’s about 15 to 20 but I can’t say that it has worked well to create more games. Nonetheless feel free to search the group and join

It would be cool if, for games that have very large player counts (I think 7 wonders fits the bill), they had separate arenas for more than one player count. You could have individual champions for each player count and then perhaps an overall or combined champion (think world cup skiing or Olympic ...

It's particularly bad in the strategic variation; you can keep it to the very end. At least in the base game, there is some chance that it is drawn early and worth ten points or less. Of course, that may make it even worse if it's drawn late (elative to other cards etc).

I think it should be summer and winter. Thoughts?

I've seen quite a bit of commentary on various forums (BGG, BGA, Sevenee) about the advantage to starting first. What are people's suggestions as to how to engineer a fairer starting set up? Some ideas: - Can it be addressed solely with money? What extra money available to player 2 would entice you ...

What are the chances of BGA getting the Pantheon expansion? I don't believe it is available elsewhere online and making Agora available here seems to be a success.

The set time arena mode led to really excellent matchmaking in my opinion. I was playing 7 wonders and was consistently matched up quickly with people within 20-30 points of my "ELO". Once the format reverted, I'm getting games with Bronze, Silver and Elite players that are 100-200 points ...

Wouldn't a decaying ELO achieve many of the stated objectives of the Arena feature? The decay would serve as motivation to play more. You could display both a decayed "arena" ELO and a normal, non- decaying version. The current system has decay but only on a three month time frame. It seem...
