Why do people so often look at what they don't have, instead of being happy with what they do have?
The implementation is top notch, and must have taken a lot of time and effort from the developpers. Adding solo mode would add a lot more, I reckon, with all the flowchart decisions from the automa.

Re: BARRAGE: Not your average dam nation.
This game is my current favourite, and the implementation on BGA is phenomenal as well. Huge thanks to the developpers, who did such an amazing job. Coincidentally, the announcement of the alpha version of this game arrived when I got back from my local board game pub. The game I played there, which...

Re: CRUSADERS: Thy Will Be Done
Ok, now it's clear to me :) . I based my reply on your post, but was influenced by someone else just claiming this game is bad taste, without explaining why that would be. I agree that the sole fact of a game (of something else being sold, for that matter) being based on history is absolutely no gua...

Re: CRUSADERS: Thy Will Be Done
Thanks for your question. I understand that my post would have easily been used by some people to start a flaming war or at least overheated discussion. I'll try to respond as good as I can, as English is not my native language. There are several things that people used to think, which are not the c...

Re: CRUSADERS: Thy Will Be Done
I don't think it is "poor taste" to make a game based on an historical event as long as the history isn't changed. Really? There is absolutely nothing in the history of mankind that trivializing it by turning it into a form of entertainment is off limits? Not a single thing? Let me guess:...

Re: Wingspan in alpha test ?
In this section: https://boardgamearena.com/reviewer You have to meet certain requirements to be able to become a reviewer though, so you might not be able to see the section if you don't. If that is the case and you would still want to be part of the alpha testing, you can always ask to do so. Usua...

Re: We don't understand ties in skirmishes
In a 2 player game, the difference in value has to be 2 or more, otherwise it's a tie. In both of the examples it was only 1. Note that this is different from multiplayer games, where it's only a tie when the actual value is the same. And even then there's a tiebreaker: amount of people on the cards...

Re: Arena rating decay for inactivity
I almost always play turn-based here. Can't even remember when I played the last realtime game on BGA. So there come a few questions in regards of the planned decay and turn-based gaming: 1. How do you define inactive? Is it no game was started in that period? No game ended in that period? No move ...
