If I am guaranteed a win near the end of a game, does it matter to my ELO whether or not I take the time to increase my score?

In other words, if I have a higher score compared to my opponent(s), will I earn more ELO points?

I think BGA would do well to have a Forum section set aside for game genres with separate threads for categories like, for instance, Word games...dice games....deduction games.....solo games ...cooperative games....sports and racing games.....and so on and etc. Because every month or so a new membe...
