Another +1 here. This (friends + no time limit) has been the only way I've ever played games on here -- over several years at this point. It's a shame to see this gone.

Agreed on all accounts. A simple implementation might be limiting kids accounts to playing with friends (and locking down the friend list itself with a PIN)...
