It give extras time for all turn based games you are currently in (except tournaments, indeed).

One idea, to prevent opportunistic ejection of a too slow player in tournament:
when there is one:

• all players with negative clocks are last (not only the player whom was late)
• the player whom ask for ejection just before (if he has positive clock!)
• and only other players share first place.
