In short, in lack of time and being unsure you‘re open to it, your examples are all but obviously clear that you are right and the others wrong to justify unsolicited advice (which some others would say never is appropriate, and as you realised by yourself already, rarely is useful).

I have my phone on silent.
I have the general BGA sound muted.
But I still get sounds for games starting, move happenings, and all such.

Stated and confirmed many times already, and underligned by implemented changes and inactions: There is no point in being competitive on BGA, and no responsible is eager for it to become such a place. Just can accept that.

Not sure where this „only winning matters“ comes from here all the time. Also not how we play such games in RL. If 1st is unreachable, the rest games for 2nd / 3rd / not last.
