Any update? Maybe we revisit the short game seeing as it is underplayed currently (despite being meant to be the main game mode as per the designer).

It's actually the weakest in 3 player games. In 4 and 5 it is about the same strength as 2 player - that is viable in like 10% of setups while still risking a lot. The issue has been brought up several dozens of times, yet no one has ever found a solution to the problem.

Hi, I'm pretty sure it depends on the faction you were given. They all start with different resources/ships. It is hard to find if you do not own the game, but if you look at pictures of the factions online (or in the manual) you will be able to figure it out.

Hi, it is unclear what exactly - like word for word in effect do options like Random map, Fixed map, Variable map and drafting really mean.
