Re: 'Asynchronous' and 'turn-based' are not synonyms

Introducing real-time Chess, where both players move at the same time! :P You thought you were taking my queen, but it moved out of the way! Or even better. Unexpectedly capturing the king! They thought they were moving their king to safety, but it was intercepted! Sure, real-time chess is great, b...

'Asynchronous' and 'turn-based' are not synonyms

BGA has become so pervasive that I frequently have to explain to people, in real life, that a "turn-based" game is a game where you take turns. As opposed to, say, Magic Maze, where everyone moves at the same time. If, however, you and your opponents aren't expected to be online, or in the...

Re: Comments on the beta implementation

Out-of-turn options would certainly help speed up the game. May we have an option to switch to a 4-color deck? I added the same option to Hearts and Oh Hell. Four color decks are nice in those games, but they're especially helpful in poker. Have you played Pineapple? It's just THE, except you start ...

restrict new game to people with the link

I often start a game, then post the link on a chatroom, but people can only join if they're my friends first. That, or I have to leave the table open for the public to join. May there be an option to restrict a new game to people with the link, please?

Average Dice?

What do y'all think about having an option to use less-swingy dice when gathering resources? 2, 2, 3, 4, 5, 5; or something like that? Would it be too small a change to worry about? You'd still have to use a regular D6 for things that need it.

Re: SUGGESTION: Tool tips for cards?

Also, when you can "preview" cards (Romance R, I think), you also get an option to discard those cards, which is much more useful. Maybe that should be in the wiki too - or maybe it's getting too long as it is.

Re: SUGGESTION: Tool tips for cards?

"jailing" a card is just reserving a card; why not just call it that?

Re: Source and destination projects don't have the same game status

In order to clone a game, you first have to have access to it. For a game that's on the Studio (most of them), that's easy. For the others, you have to bug an admin to give you access. I'd like access to Carcassone, too, so I can make a preference to use color-blind friendly meeples, but I asked stu...

Re: new card images

Wow, I really like some of those images; can you get the original files from the site owners?
