En effet, le bonus os n'est pas tres utile, vu que la tuile additionelle en general ne rapporte rien (sauf si placee sur une montagne). En general, c'est mieux d'ignorer le bonus et de placer les tuiles normallement. La ou ca peut etre utile, c'est si il y a 2 tuiles interressantes (eg. identiques) ...

In the game option, we can choose to turn on: Promo - mountain tiles and Promo - Double tiles. What do these do? As far as I can tell, it's not a variant mentioned in the rules.

I agree, there's a lot to take in, your board, the other player's boards, your supply, other player's supply, the common supply. Which, if any, mountain bonus to use, etc. This is a game that requires a lot of thinking.

It doesn't help that the slow animation take up a lot of your thinking time.
