Regular Players: How do you play around the bugs?

I'm not one for playing competitively in the arena, and have only really dabbled in tournaments, so I want to ask the regular folks just how you feel about the state of this game. How much of an impact are all these bugs having on your enjoyment? Is anyone exploiting them? Do you secretly hope someo...

Re: Fair-Play Rallyman: Dirt

I think most of the time, the blocking is happening when one car is missing die. Another solution could be, that if one car is missing die, then it can't block the track. The same way a car in 0 could not block other cars. And this solution is a one that can be coded. But bad driving doesn't requir...

Re: SISU token

Probably because they're a variant rule. But the dice don't even appear to roll according to their probabilities as it is, so the less extra stuff there is to code on top of fixing the bugs, the better.

Re: Intentionally Blocking people: Bad Manners or Strategic Play?

There's no 'if' about it, blocking a return from the pits will always benefit you - someone else is missing a turn. It just that getting blocked from the pits hits different. If I get blocked on a corner, it's probably my error that you've taken advantage of. If I get blocked while trying to come ba...

The disheartening state of play

Part rant, part call to arms, I guess, but after reading that the most thumbed-up bug report, 'Add "Cancel all moves" button', is something that 'for now we don't plan to add', I have to wonder just what the state of this game is. In my last rally, I deliberately abused known bugs to crash...

Re: Intentionally Blocking people: Bad Manners or Strategic Play?

Blocking on track is all part of the game. Blocking someone from rejoining the track after they've already spent a turn on the sidelines or in the pits is probably a line you don't want to cross - at least when not playing with friends. But it's all subjective anyway; none of us are playing for mone...

Re: how to resign

Consider submitting (or adding to) a bug report, because I think a few things went awry there, but unfortunately unpacking the rules in that exact situation can be tricky. You might argue that you technically finished the stage, submitted a time, and then retired, but no matter how the game determin...

Re: Fair-Play Rallyman: Dirt

It's a result of imitating real-life that the first car has the Leader dice, so if we're already trying to simulate the disadvantage of running first on the road, it's not exactly difficult to also try to simulate not being a jerk to your rivals - but such a thing can't ever be written into rules fo...

Re: Development paused?

If I recall, there was a bug fix in early September that seems to have just broken open a can of worms regarding the dice, which can now be manipulated beyond the rules completely to minimise (or maximise, depending on your viewpoint) the outcomes of a crash. I clearly don't know how BGA development...

Re: Uh so many color car options ?

They're the sponsor logos on the car artwork and so are functionally meaningless - though I have heard that the physical promos for these sponsored cars come with a 4 hazard limit dashboard, rather than a 3.
