Most likely not. The difference isnt huge. One less rescource, wine or Oil if i remember correctly. The game is three rounds instead of four to name a few things. You should be able to pick it up after a test game. The rules arent that hard but its very easy to do mistakes. If you do a mistake early...

I would say a huge advantage.
The game is very luck dependent but beeing the first player is just owerpowered.
Didnt take more than a handful of games to notice this. The statistics should confirm this.

The current siege rules doesnt fit the game.
I just started playing and this is what immidiately struck me.
It doesnt seem like we are getting any input from the community or the Designer?

Is the variant in the rules implemented?
