I've had some success with a Coloretto draft. create a number of piles equal to player count, on your turn you either add to a pile or take a pile. if you take less than 3 cards, you make up the difference with beginner upgrades (0/5/H). I think this or a regular 'pick&pass' draft are good optio...

Im a big fan of this game, and its been getting more exposure in the UK recently (on sale at Waterstones) which is awesome. I wont claim its as deep a game as Go, but it gives me very similar vibes as you start to understand more and more of the game.

also 4p is carnage and i love it.
