Re: Best and Worst Creature cards

The strongest survival card is definitely Wrong Track. The ability to move the creature token is huge and can really turn the game around. The weakest survival card is Smokescreen. Most creatures usually remember what has been played already, so Smokescreen is really useless. The strongest creature ...

Selecting New Place Cards

The Creature usually blocks The Rover because it is a powerful space, so it is very important for players to make smart decisions when selecting new place cards. Lately, I've seen players choose The Swamp as the first new place card, which really confuses me. The Swamp is a card that helps one playe...

Re: Option to anonymize in-game players

I understand how it can be frustrating to be the target to bit in a game. But i look for it ! Isn't it what Elo and range is about ? Becoming a strong player, show it to the world so everybody want a win against you. If you are very high in elo in a game, you have to assume your status! Ok that cha...

Re: Option to anonymize in-game players

I think BGA should definitely have this option. I played a very frustrating game of Legendary Inventors recently, where it was clear that the other players were targeting me because my ELO is high. In many cases, they were making moves that didn't benefit them because they were more concerned about ...

Re: same ip

It depends on the game. I've had horrible experiences playing Love Letter and Colt Express with same IP players. They don't target each other and are at an unfair advantage because of that. I played Dice Forge and Can't Stop with same IP players and didn't notice any kingmaking or cheating. The same...

Re: Kicking people out who are over time

Technically, the rules say that you are allowed to expel players when they're over their time limit, even if it's only 1 second over the limit. Would it be nice if people waited? Yes. However, they're not obligated to wait. It's not fair to deduct karma points because someone exercised their right t...

Re: First move

I agree, Lyncia. 4 is a decently safe first move because of the reasons you stated. Even if I lose 4 on turn 1, I can play 1, 2, 3, or 5 on turn 2, which are much better options, anyway. In a game I played a while ago, my 3 teammates all chose 5 for their first move. I chose 4. The creature placed t...

Re: First move

Did YOU understand what I meant? In your response to me, you insisted that "you don't think 4 is ever a good choice, except with the card who let you copy on adjacent power." Those are your direct words. I disagreed with you and listed reasons as to why I think 4 is a perfectly fine choice for a fir...

Re: First move

I disagree. I rarely see the creature put the creature token or the artemis token on 4 during the first move, which makes it relatively safe. It also allows the person who chose 4 to choose 1, 3, or 5 during the next turn since the other players probably played one of those cards. It's important for...

Re: First move

The first move depends heavily on what survival card I start with.

If I can move or dodge the creature token, then I'll choose 5.

If I don't have a useful survival card, then I'll choose something safe like 2 or 4.
