If I buy both cards, would my Gentle Giant card effectively become useless, since Acid Attack would keep adding attacks to my roll?

I think there's some extra strategy of guessing what other will do, especially if playing with 5 or 4 players. All or most of the cards will be in the game so luck becomes less dominant
