Re: Confusing colors

The yellow and pale brown are very close, especially on a small device. Unfortunately, they're using the card art from the physical game so probably won't modify to make it more legible. As someone already noted, you can turn on the confirmation button from the options panel

Re: Regarding the ELO-reset-issue

You're referencing your post on the general discussion board : The gaming moderation - probably an automatism - detects ELO cheating if you play too often with the same person. Over the years several accounts got moderated for possible ELO cheating for having the same partner too often. While this m...

Re: The boundaries of BGA games that are played 2 vs 2

The gaming moderation - probably an automatism - detects ELO cheating if you play too often with the same person. Over the years several accounts got moderated for possible ELO cheating for having the same partner too often. While this might be actually a case in most competitive games, in Tichu ha...

ok thanks. my impression was in groups only the admins can post, therefore it would be impossible to communicate / ask there. From what I can tell, your account no longer exists only four days removed from this post. If you're still around, you could join the Decrypto Illuminati. https://boardgamea...

Re: acess arena again

Because Arena is a competitive mode in which players are assumed to have a reasonable level of experience. This is more important in team games where your success depends on the competence of your partner. An experienced player using a new account will quickly win and hit 100 ELO, especially given t...

MatMey1987 wrote: 27 September 2024, 10:01 Hi, What does ‘double victory’ mean? Build an empire? To come out first and second?

Re: Add "don't use parts of the words in your clues" to the rules on BGA

It's in the official rules, but not on BGA: https://cdn.1j1ju.com/medias/fb/0d/f3-decrypto-rulebook.pdf A prohibition on using parts/forms of a word is a common word game rule but it is not actually among the rules for clues in the linked English rulebook. I imagine the reason why is that self-inte...

Re: wishing a bomb out of your partner

The partner of the person with the Mahjong always can call tichu before the wish to 100% make sure the wish doesn't damage the hand. I neglected to mention this but it's a good point. If I want to blind wish but can't call, I'll play mahjong and hesitate to give p a chance to call premeptively. If ...

Re: wishing a bomb out of your partner

How can something be reasonable, if not outright the most rational approach on any given hand, and at the same time not be the best or recommended? Follow the logic of what you quoted. Essentially, blind wishing is not always best but may be in a given situation. Also, having imperfect information ...

Re: wishing a bomb out of your partner

thanks for your input but you are agreeing to something, that has been refuted later in the thread please consider, that blind wishes don't achieve what you think they are achieving, and are just adding to the randomness of the game, which you should be eliminating, not seeking, if you think you're...
