Re: Suggestion: Make Default Dictionary *Not* 12dicts

While Google and companies with unlimited money can afford to license a premium dictionary like Oxford or Merriam-Webster, but BGA cannot pay these costs, especially for a free (non-premium) game. You can see the Oxford pricing at https://developer.oxforddictionaries.com/ -- it costs about $0.0028 ...

What word games do you play?

There seems to be quite an interesting core of strong word game players on this subforum and playing the game. I'm curious what other word games people play and how they got into it. I've gotten into word games via Countdown and have been playing since 2009. My knowledge is all based on the dictiona...

Thus created valid 5c word list for every 5 cents hand combination.
This is really cool! Nice work.

Re: Suggestion: Make Default Dictionary *Not* 12dicts

I had all of https://scrabblecheck.com/perianth https://scrabblecheck.com/senhorita https://scrabblecheck.com/hortensia https://scrabblecheck.com/planisher recently disallowed in a game using 12 dicts, and they are all fairly bog standard words. This game is really awesome, however I find it incredi...

Re: Pretty sure one of our Arena players is using assistance

I've seen numerous cases of cheating unfold on a similar website over the past 11 years. I can't know, of course. And I would take their word for it if they'd say they aren't using assistance in building words. This is very fair, and you've behaved correctly not to name the user directly But the *ra...

Re: Hardback, the deck-building word game

Another word game is now available in beta on BGA! If you enjoyed Letter Tycoon, we think you'll love Hardback . Each player has their own personal deck of letter cards, using them to spell words, gain coins and prestige, and acquire new cards. The twist here is that any card can be wild. There's a...

Re: Hardback, the deck-building word game

Thanks for this game, it's really good!

Re French translation of the game, I wouldn't play it myself, however it's definitely a great idea! Agree with what others have posted about taking the same approach that scrabble does.

Poker Mod

Hi BGA developers. I'm on a quest to make a game (somewhere, but preferably on BGA) which is a mash up of Texas Holdem poker and Scrabble (or any other word game e.g. Countdown). The premise is simple. The rules of Texas Holdem poker still apply, but instead of a deck of playing cards, we'll use a d...
