Today is a very particular day for Board Game Arena, as we are proud to introduce Dungeon Twister, a game from Christophe Boelinger.
This is a special day for at least THREE reasons.
1. First, Dungeon Twister is a board game masterpiece, that has became a cult game.
Dungeon Twister is a strategy game for 2 players. You lead a team of 8 adventurers in a dungeon, trying to escape from this maze before getting killed by the other team.
Dungeon Twister is a race : you win 1 point each time one of your character manages to escape the board, and 1 point each time you manage to kill an opponent's character. The first player to score 5 points wins the game.
Each of your character has its own strengths, weaknesses and special abilities, and you have to use them carefully to reach your goal. In addition, the maze is full of tricky mechanisms that allow you to rotate the rooms and change completely the situation.
Playing Dungeon Twister is like playing a modern version of Chess, with a medieval Role play universe and endless possibilities. Ready to enter into the Dungeon?

2. This BGA adaptation has a very special history.
Two years ago, we met Christophe Boelinger and Alexis Diakonoff, who are working on an astonishing iOS / Android adaptation for Dungeon Twister with tutorial, solo mode, face-to-face offline mode, ... and we had this crazy idea : why not use Board Game Arena to operate the online multiplayers mode of the App? This way, users of the DT app would be able to have a huge number of opponents available to play on BGA, and the BGA community would be able to enjoy a web adaptation of DT online!
We have built a special FAQ to explain how the upcoming DT app is related to BGA, how all of this is going to work, and what to do if you are a backer of the DT app crowfunding campaign.
3. This is the second game to join BGA's "premium catalog".
In last September, we explained that we'd like to give more content to those who support this website. After "Lost Cities", "Dungeon Twister" is the second game to join this "premium catalog". The principle is the following: any of you can join a Dungeon Twister game, but only BGA Club members are able to create new tables with this game. This is a little bit like in real life: you can buy a game to play it whenever you like, or you can wait for a friend who owns it to extend an invitation to you.
We hope that BGA Club members will appreciate this, and of course we encourage the other players to join the club and support BGA
