Whatever name you call it, depending on your language and/or country, you probably already know this famous game.
And for a good reason: this title, while having the simplest rules there could be, is simply amazing.
Behind this fine mathematical design is hidden a pattern recognition game in which players try to find an image shown on two cards.
Each card of the game features eight different symbols, with the symbols varying in size from one card to the next. Any two cards have exactly one symbol in common. For the basic rule, reveal one card, then another. Whoever spots the symbol in common on both cards claims the first card, then another card is revealed for players to search, and so on. Whoever has collected the most cards when the 55-card deck runs out wins!
The rules for several different games- each an observation game with a speed element – are available with Spot it!, with the first player to find a match either gaining or getting rid of a card.
Probably Board Game Arena's first fast-paced game. And it is perfect timing for you to try it on your new tablet, phone or computer you have just received. Yes, there is a big advantage playing it using a touch-screen. That is the beauty of it.
It only takes a few minutes to play, and you can check the game page here:

Of course, because it is all about speed, the game is only suited for realtime, and you might make sure you have a good connexion so there is no delay between you and your opponents.

There are plenty of articles written about the beauty behind the game mechanics, maths, and theories that you will find using your favorite search engine.
We would like to thank, obviously, the Asmodee team and the game designers Denis Blanchot, Jacques Cottereau, Guillaume Gille-Naves and Igor Polouchine for their amazing collaboration bringing the game to Board Game Arena.
The game has been beautifully developed by Mizutismask, who has done an amazing work here, making it playable from nearly any device.
Which edition of the game should we bring online? What is your favorite one?

That's it for the last release of 2021.

All of our best wishes for the year to come.

Love from the BGA Team,
and thanks to everyone that helps making it run everyday for all to enjoy!
