[BGA Studio] New licence page and policy!

Post by Een »

Below is a copy of the message sent today to all developers registered in the studio, for reference in case the e-dog eats some e-mail on the way :)

-------------------
Dear BGA studio developers,

First of all, some of you didn't receive our previous email from July "A brand new BGA Studio for you :)". Since then, we have updated our mail delivery process to make it much less likely that mailbox providers reject our emails. So if you get this email and you didn't get the previous one, you can check it out on the forum where it has been reposted by Victoria_La:

Allright! So what's today's news then? We have updated the studio "Available licenses" page! It's now more complete and prettier, and it will be much easier to keep up to date than before, which is good!

Also, there is now many developers on the studio, and we realized that setting admins as a gateway between you and the publishers to request licenses created a bottleneck. So we decided to remove that constraint, and to provide instead an email template that you can use to contact publishers and request a license for a game you would love to adapt if it's not available yet in the list!

On the "Available licences" page, click on "Template email", fill out the fields, then click "Generate": you now have a template that you can copy/paste in your favourite email software and send to the publisher. Just please read carefully the important bullet points we placed before the template, to make sure that requesting that specific license is a good idea!

We hope that this new process will allow you to find the best project for your gaming tastes and have fun coding it!

Cheers and dougnuts,
The admins.
