[SOLVED] Change game_icon.png when game is released

Post by Woodruff »

Hi everybody :)

How can you change the game_icon.png image in production when you made that change on Studio (load new image > Control Panel > Reload game box image). I tried to build and deploy a new version but that does not seem to work: the game icon does not change on the main site.

Any clue?

Thanks!

Game publishing process suppose to force the icon change. Your browser probably caching. What game? I can check.
Force browser cache out. I usually right click on icon, open in another tab, ctrl refresh in that tab.

If it's indeed a Browser caching issue, then:

If I remember correctly, sometimes there is some hours delay for some game image to be "published". Force refresh (ctrl+f5) isn't enough.

I'm not talking about in-game images but game boxes (publisher, game-box, game-icon)

Hi,

when we made a change on Libellud's logo, it took 24h to be updated
So I guess caching :)

Thanks Victoria_La!
That was it. The icon really got updated at the moment I published the game. That's my browser which had not shown me the right version.
Thanks very much :)

Cheers,
