Take a look, maybe you can help me

Post by Etoclas »

Hi all!

I just created Block Arena, an abstract game for 2 players.
In Block Arena, players move their wooden blocks on the board creating paths and bridges that will help their meeple to move, with the aim of making the meeple reach the opposite side of the board.

Here you can see some pictures of the wooden prototype of Block Arena: https://www.facebook.com/blockarenatheg ... =3&theater

Here you can see the video with a demonstrative match (sorry for my English!): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JN-TSxbMIo

Here you can read the rules in picture (2 pages): https://www.facebook.com/blockarenatheg ... =3&theater

Here you can download the rules in .pdf: https://www.scribd.com/document/3829570 ... -Boschiero

I'm looking for an editor and I'm in contact with one in particular.
Meanwhile I would like to spread the game here in BGA, because many players, testers and friends suggested me to make a digital version.
And I thought BGA was the best place to do that!

I don't have any money to pay someone to develop Block Arena, neither I have any developing skills. But I would really like if someone could help me with this challenge.

Thank for your attention and let me know what you think about it

I have read the rule of Board Arena, and I think this game deserves to be implemented on BGA. However, I was surprised to read « the
opposite side of the board » instead of « the eighth row » in the END OF THE GAME section (or then, I did not understand the rule presented in the video). Because the opposite side, on a chessboard, matches to an half of the board. Also, I didn't see any bridge in this game (introduction) and I don't find the word « water » in the rule, so I cannot imagine to cross a river.

As this game can be easily made oneself (chessboard, some square wood, meeples), the quality of its edition should be irreproachable. Gigamic is a typical publisher of this kind of smart games.

Hi diamant,
thanks for your feedback.
Yes, it should be the ninth row for your point of view, I thought that "opposite" was more immediate. I talk about bridges, because they match something with something else: the first row to the ninth row. How would you call that? I thought about bridges, paths and roads, all in a figurative way, so water does not need to exist! :P

Yes, indeed I wrote to them, but they told me that the game is too complex for the set-up phase comparing to their other products.
