Hi,

Shift click works, but with my devices (smartphone and computers) the game is slower than the first times I played (month of june). It was responding very well, but now after each action, there is a little latency. I don't know if it's my connection or something you changed. But it's the most important thing for Magic maze : reactivity.

Logs are better now, each token is specified. Thx.

Can you have a look at yokai implementation ? There is a link to enlarge the board that could help magicmaze implementation.

Bandido also has tools to zoom in/out and enlarge the scrollmap.

Let me know if you're continuing to see issues. I don't think there should be anything that has changed the general response times, and I'll reach out to the BGA admins to figure out if I can get statistics on this.

Yeah I think I can get zoom in/out to work pretty quickly, but the pawns end up in the wrong location after zoom due to how the animation is implemented. See https://boardgamearena.com/forum/viewto ... 234#p51274 I'll need to play around with the workaround mentioned in that thread.

seems easier to click on the board for stuff versus in the corner.

same with the ability to explore a new room.
adding zoom functionality would be useful (would be nice to zoom out on my laptop to see more of the board at once).
Adding a 'homing' functionality might be useful...in order to re-center the board on a specific character. I realize in the actual game you have to locate the pawns yourself, but feel this is trivial on the table as they are 3D and more challenging on here with the need to scroll (while the exits and weapons may not be quite as easy on a table so I'd say only re-center around a character as most useful). Totally agree!

Shift-click is very helpfull and it works fine.

It would be nice, if the control area (arrows, escalators etc.) can be movable , so that everybody can move it to any place on the monitor instead of a fixed area in the corners

Thx for your work on this game!

Would it be possible to add my group of (non-reviewer eligible) players to the Magic Maze players group such that I could play it with them for more exposure?

hey
great job developing this great game :)
I found another website some time ago that tried to implement the game.
Unfortunately when I tried to play with friends it broke a lot and the hotkeys are not explained. However I encourage you to check it out to get some ideas on improvements. In particular how movement is implemented with drag and drop seems to work much smoother than your current implementation.
Here's the link: https://magicmaze.herokuapp.com/
(I have absolutely no association with that website other than the fact that I found looking for a online version of magic maze)

Gave that website a try and I didntt see any instructions so I didnt know how to explore new tiles lol other than that it was pretty fun!

Im not eligible but Ive played hundreds of different games and my group is obsessed with magic maze any chance I could be allowed to play the alpha?

or is there an eta on when it will be beta?
