5 players or 4?

BGA says 5 when you search for 5 player games. Rules PDF says max 4. Which is it?

The pieces for the fifth player come with the Nomads expansion in the physical game. If you only have the base game, you can only play with four players, which is why the base game rules say 2-4 players. There's no reason not to allow five players here though. (I think it's a little worse at five players, but still totally playable.)
