First Win

I'm a little confused as to why sometimes this doesn't trigger. This has happened in a few games now to me, most recently in Belote:

Do you not get a first win if it is a tie? That seems like less than ideal considering some games are won and lost as a team.

It seems victories aren't counted for teambased games.
