yes, you're right, Colorpop not Bubblepop.
Well, why I wasn't looking, the dirty trickster only got 5-in-a-row

Well, it wasn't pretty at the end. Dirty tricks are best played when they've just been kicked in the teeth.

I really liked the first challenge, and I tried some games because of your reports RicardoRix, like Troyes. But this time, it more appears like a "who has the biggest one" challenge, I'm less fan.
Enjoy btw

OK. I'll add a bit of 'first impressions' for each game that I'm playing for the first time.yoyote wrote:I really liked the first challenge, and I tried some games because of your reports RicardoRix, like Troyes. Elfenland: RicardoRix win
Old style game, seems a bit slow, but I like it, a fun party strategy game.

Florenza: The Card Game: Ivardo win
Badly messed up the ending and lost by 2 points but had a lot of resources to spare.
I am not a fan of the game as a whole, it has a lot of potential but the play is very 1-dimensional. Basically a resource management game where all the resources are essentially the same.

Evo: The “Game no Name” : RicardoRix win.
*First time play*. Well, I really liked it! What a little gem of a game that doesn't get played much. So a grid board with a few pieces that can mutate. A bit like a fun twist on chess although strategy wise it is probably somewhere around draughts rather than chess. Defintely recommend a play. I bet though like 4 player chess it won't work unless it's 2v2.

22 - 10 : 7 Wonders, Northwest Passage.
7 Wonders: Both lost!
Very close scoring: 51, 49, 48 in a 3-player game, I came 2nd and Ivadro came 3rd. We decided beforehand one of us needed to win outright to get a point.
What to say about 7 Wonders? Awesome game, absolutely love it! It's close to the perfect example of taking a game mechanism, in this instance 'drafting' and creating the best possible game around it. My other top love is RFTG, and both these game play VERY quickly, play is simultaneous and both offer a mountain of strategy and fun. If anything 7 wonders is a bit more beginner friendly. It's obvous why this is such a hit with board gamers and BGA. If you haven't already played it, then just do it! You can't go wrong, beginner tactic - get a few brown and greys, and then score points.

Expedition: Northwest Passage. RicardoRix win...(!?)
1st time impressions: Well strictly speaking 2nd time played. It's a tile placement, set collecting, race! Can you handle all that?? Well it's VERY difficult to give it a proper analysis after just 2 plays. It is a complete head scratcher most of the time, I have no idea what I'm meant to be focusing on, so instead I'm just 'doing' something. It doesn't appear to work too well 2-player, you need other players to place tiles and race a little bit with actions and collecting things I think. It's a deep game and so for that reason I can't really rate it good or bad - maybe it's the best game ever, I just need to get my head around all the mechanics first. I recommend a play, but with more that 2 players, probably 4 players I'd say.

24 - 10 : Carcassonne, Diam's, Coloretto
Coloretto : tie game, both got very respectful: 32 points
Yeah, really simple game Coloretto with plenty of strategy, can't really fault this title. Multiplayer - set collecting.
https://en.boardgamearena.com/#!table?table=42057088
Diam's : RicardoRix win.
1st time impressions: Not great.
It's a bit like Jaipur but more diluted. So if I'd recommend a game I'd chose Jaipur. You collect sets of diamonds in slightly abstract way, it is very difficult to judge what your opponent is doing or scoring, so it's a game that feels a little lost.

Carcassonne.
1st time impressions: I actually own this game, and have played it 2 times in about 10 years. It's very dry and dull. The gameplay itself is very good and moves along easily and there is plenty of planning and strategy, but to what aim? To put a guy on a river and score 4 points. A put a guy on a town and score 6 points. I put a guy on a field and long-term hope for a majority. meh.

Re: Playing ALL BGA Games. The RicardoRix - Ivardo Project.
All good so far, and good job on trying every game. I never realised playing a lot of games at once was a thing though. I frequently have had 50+ turn based going at once, I just thought that was normal!
