Have You Bought Games Because Of Playing Them On BGA?

Hello all,

I am curious how many people have bought board games after playing them on BGA. So far I have just bought two.

Roll For The Galaxy - I was on the lookout for a fun dice game and imo this has been the best one I have played in a long time.

Targi - I was looking for a fun simple worker placement and this one really is fun. You get to fill out your board while trying your best to deny your oppenent while not hindering yourself too much.

Other than that I am trying to hold off on buying too many games. Others that I am tempted to buy some day are Seasons, 7 Wonders, Takenoko, La Granja, Tzolkin, Res Arcana... the list goes on.

Originally I was just going to play games on BGA but some of them are so fun lol that I had to buy the,.

Yes. In fact about 90% of games I've bought in the last 3 years are because I played them on BGA first.

I'm sure others will follow. BGA is a great way for game publishers to create interest (and subsequently sales) in their games.

Not really.
My different gaming groups already own almost every game I've played on BGA.
The few exceptions are Koi-Koi, Dice Forge and Hanabi (Grand Feux). I rediscovered the first one, so it's really BGA that made me buy it. I already knew Dice Forge and it's unclear if that's because of BGA that I bought it, but I guess I was influenced. And I bought the new edition of Hanabi as soon as I learn that there was a new edition for this game (already own the old one), which I learn from BGA.

Flaming Pyramids, Chicago Express, Coloretto, Downforce, Dungeon Roll, Mapmaker, Welcome to..., and No Thanks! (sort of - I just added some chips to my copy of 6 Nimmt). I'd like to get a copy of LIbertalia if I could find it at a decent price, and I'll probably pick up Draftosaurus when it's back in stock.

Yes.

Dungeon Twister was the first one. Not easy to come by, since it is out of print for a long time. But I'm glad I did. Still open the boxes from time to time, even though I have no one to play it with until after the pandemic.

After that Take 5, Downforce and one of the Downforce expansions. Also Sushi Go and Potion Explosion for birthdays of the kids of my brother-in-law.

Currently on my list to buy are the other Downforce Expansion, 7Wonders Duel with the Agora expansion, Draftosaurus and Dice Forge.
