How do I quit a Turn Based Game

I accidentally joined a turn based game instead of a real time game and though I know I will lose reputation, I really need to quit the game. I don't see anywhere to do this?

Also, is there any way to default my games page to show the "Real Time" dropdown instead of the "Turn Based" which it seems to default to? I have made this mistake before and am in a long term turn based game that will take forever to finish. I find no joy in those games and find it very stressful to play one game for many months.

At the top right you have several options, by clicking on the 3 horizontal lines. One is to stop the game, which will indeed make you loose karma. Another option is to explain the situation to your opponent(s) and suggest to mutually agree to quit the game. If you choose that option and the others agree, you won't loose karma nor ELO.

In the 'play now' page, game setting defaults to the option you last choose. So it should stay on Real Time if that's what you searched for the previous time.
