Why does a message flash up onscreen telling me my animals are cooking?
There are no similar messages for other actions, e.g. 'your farmers are making a baby', and obviously I know without being told, since cooking only happens when I direct the game to do so, so I can't see how this message benefts gameplay.
But as a vegetarian who already feels guilty about all the slaughter in this game, I REALLY don't want to be reminded about consigning my fluffy sheep to the flames. It genuinely bothers me every time the message comes up, and I am wondering why the decision was made to add this to the online version of the game. Generally, devs try to keep the 'feel' of BGA games as similar to the offline version as possible, right?
What's next? A pop-u message in Noir to say 'your victim is writhing in agony and bleeding out on the floor'?
