I recently learned this game and the only issue I have is playing on my phone the action will trigger when I am looking to see what the person does. I know several games have had face lifts and I was curious if this own was going to. I do see that the seven cost variant was added in august. Thanks for all the work the team does.

I agree, a confirm button would be very nice.

A Confirm button would be amazing! Or an Undo button. Or both!
Homesteaders has a solid implementation. You can back out several or all parts of your turn, and must press confirm to finalize your turn.

BGA generally discourages Undo actions, except for games with complex turns where making a mistake in one part of it can mess up your entire turn.
However, I am currently working on implementing the expansions for ITYOTD, and I might be able to add a Confirm option as well.

IHMO, an undo would not make so much sense, the point of the confirm button for me would really be to prevent misclicks. For example, on mobile I need to zoom in first or my fat fingers might push the wrong action or person, which would screw up the entire game

That is such good news.
I was just about to ask the same question i happens if not in every game, so rather close to, that someone missclick something and it is devistating in this game..
So many cheers for this.

Surely if there is a Confirm button, then the other button (perhaps called Cancel) will essentially be an Undo, right? What else could the opposite of Confirm be?
BTW, since the Recruit Person activity involves clicking on a new person, and then choosing where to place them, please make the Cancel (Undo) revert to before the person was selected, rather than after the person was selected and before the target palace was chosen.
I had a very annoying experience in Hawaii: After I had chosen the building to buy, I then found I couldn't place it where I wanted. But there was then no way to Cancel my purchase.
That's why Cancel should revert to the start of the player's turn.

Also the "Take Yuan up to 3" button should also have a Confirm step, perhaps with a warning if the player already has 3 Yuan (or just always).
I am in a game where my beginner opponent accidentally hit "Take Yuan up to 3" when they already had 6, and they now have a huge disadvantage.
IMHO, every turn should have a Confirm step at the end just in case.

Re: Any chance of programing a "Are you sure button"
"In the Year of the Dragon 10th Anniversary" (in alpha testing) now includes several UI upgrades, including player options to add an "Are you sure?" confirmation button to actions.
Please join the alpha test for the expansion so that these improvements can eventually be added to the base game.
