Naria la prophétesse

Post by diamant » 26 March 2019, 15:36

Bonjour,

If you give a card you wanted to an opponent (when you are properly informed of the destination of the card), you just deserve to lose the game.

Can you please explain how this makes it "an uninteresting card during the draft"?

This change, while it deviates from the original card text, correctly describes how the card functions as it is currently implemented on BGA. The original text, on the other hand, is the complete opposite of how it distributes the cards. And as you have seen on the bug report, this misleading text has caused a significant number or misplays.

When you play Naria, you rarely have complete information about an opponent’s cards. Therefore, you cannot be sure, when you give him a card of your choice, that his hand will be spoiled: giving cards to opponents cannot appear as an attractive goal. So, the change alters the perception of the effects of the card by announcing the unwanted effect before the desired one.

I think it’s a good reason not to do this fake.

When you implement a card, you use the matching text (the text of the author or official translator): I do not understand how such a thing can be debatable. If you want another text, create yourself a new card with new title and illustration at your convenience.

That is the problem, the card's implemented effect does not match the card's original text.

You are penalized by 5 points per card in hand at the end of the game.

It is risky to wait until the last moment to play your cards, if all the Boots have not been played. You could be stuck with Naria in hand at the end of the game.

It is equally risky to play Naria and give your opponent a winning card.
No, that is even worse.
