http://en.boardgamearena.com/#!tournament?id=2640: this is the third tourney I have played that was set up as with the swiss system and 6 rounds and that ends after the first one...
In two of these tourneys, someone had left a game or had been expelled. But in this one, all the games in the first round have been played until completion.
This is really fustrating ...

This Lost Cities was a successful Swiss based tournament. It was real-time and not turn based.

Nope, only the real time one. That's why I'm thinking it is somehow related to turn-based and swiss since every other combination seems to work.

Any progress on turn-based? Hope you saw my post on the first Backgammonb tourbnament - http://forum.boardgamearena.com/viewtop ... 144#p27144 So bad that I'm playing no more until i's sorted!

(But thanks for the work you've put in - not trying to put that down; just that it isn't there yet!)

Hi,

Sorry about the delay for fixing bug on tournaments. Believe it or not, but this was very difficult to simulate turn-based tournaments and reproduce issues. Now we are much better equipped and manage to fix the bugs.

3 bugs fixed today :
  • Turn-based + Swiss system now works properly.
  • When you specify that games for a tournament has a maximum duration of X days, this is now really X days (and not a much longer delay).
  • When a game is not finished on expected delay, the player with the most remaining thinking time wins the game (and consequently, the player who is responsible for the too long game lose the game).
