I sometimes have trouble placing beetles. Is there a rule about when you can add them to the game?

I sometimes have trouble placing beetles. Is there a rule about when you can add them to the game?

I sometimes am unable to select beetles from the reserve pile. Is there a rule or is it a problem with my phone?

There are no restrictions on playing any insect unless you have to play your Queen. Could be your phone or browser etc. Maybe try logging a bug report?

Thanks Lotus Blossom - I figured it out - on my phone the beetle discription is so large that when vertical - it prevents me from seeing the bettle and so choosing it. I solved it by turning my phone to landscape mode.
