Sorry for my English, I play only 2 or 3 match, but for me who place first piece...win

If you are talking about the small grids, like 6x6 then yes, 1st move wins. I would play a larger grid, say 11x11.

Also there is the pie rule, so the 2nd player can switch positions if the 1st play is too good.
