hard to tell when it is my turn on turn based game with the new interface

Post by shah »

With the new interface, it is hard to tell when it is my turn for turn based games...

the old interface for turn based games was better.

I agree. Bring back the banner!

I agree.

Plus now we can no longer open games or other windows in new browser tabs with a right click?

How are we meant to navigate our way around our games and other things now? :?

100% agree with this - takes me so much longer to get into my active games now.

The banner was very helpful. Would be nice to see it (or a similar feature) again.

Also making right-click work on the games panel should be relatively east :) would be nice :)

Is there an option to turn back to the old interface? The new one is pretty poor on telling you when it is your turn; specially because the yellow used on the dashboard blends in really well with the background is much more discreet.

Came here to say this. the new interface is horrible for turn based players. I don't get any notifications, no signal at all without going to look for the new icon.
I play at least a dozen games at once across multiple time zones, and now people are left waiting as the site hasn't given me any sign that it's my turn.

Agreed. It's a lot harder to tell when it is your turn in a turn-based game. Having the yellow banner across the top was much easier to see when alt+tabbing through open apps on Windows.

Now I have to focus on the window itself and focus on the tiny icon at the top right which doesn't even change color when there is turn waiting. What's more, when a game is waiting, it's just a number in a circle, which is already part of the icon's design! Basically, the icon doesn't change enough to make it easy to tell when there is a game waiting for you.

Even if it changed color, to like red, when a turn is waiting, would be a huge improvement over the current/new interface.

So if the banner isn't coming back, at least have the icon change color when a turn is waiting. Even better, have it change shape as well.

do you not see a rotating triangle icon in the title bar of the browser tab?

I agree it would be better if it changed colour or pulsated.

Agreement - but also, there's no longer the nice red dot to tell you a game has finished. I've missed a few of my games finishing because of the new interface, and by the time i notice they are done, I cannot view the "last scene".
