Wind Dragon Question

Hey everyone, sorry if this has been covered before, if I have a wind dragon and I attack another player that has no resources but has a card in hand, do they have to discard a card? I noticed the text on the card says "may discard card to ignore attack." Thanks!

The 'may' introduces an option to the players, they are never forced to ignore attack.

In your situation, the opponents do not have to discard card in hand to ignore attack, they can choose to suffer the damage instead, which means suffering 0 ressource loss. good choice!
