Rule clarification re: sorcerer's bestiary

Hi everyone quick question. If i summoned a dragon from an opponent's discard but I destroy it using another artifact such as the fiery whip or sac altar or vortex of destruction, where does that dragon go? Back to my opponents' discard or my discard pile?

It goes in your own discard
