Arena flip flops

This happened briefly last season, randomly I enter arena match and the ice cream variant is selected. Why do the rules change during the season? Will it switch back?

When a new gameoption is added, it need to be configured by admins for arena to know whether it's fixed or not for all Arena tables. So no change of rule, just a few hours before it gets fixed.
