Several months ago, when first testing Ultimate Railroads, I noticed that players could use the opposing players' maintenance cars. I reported the problem, and eventually went back to playing the normal Russian Railroads implementation because of how game-breaking this issue was. In the intervening months, the bug report was closed as fixed multiple times, for instance here:

So I decided to give Ultimate Railroads another chance. But my first game back today I quickly found that IT IS NOT FIXED. The players continue to be able to score the opposing players' maintenance cars.

Using an opponent's piece is such a fundamentally game-breaking bug that I do not understand why this game was taken out of alpha/beta testing. It just frustrates the player to get so far into a game and have the same bug that has been reported and closed multiple times reoccur. A player expects this when testing alpha games, but shouldn't one wait to release it officially out of alpha/beta at least until it isn't possible to use the opponents' pieces?
