what colour preference gets you brown?

I thought it might be black, so I set that as my first choice. That didn't work. So, how do you get to play as brown in Caylus?

I don't know how to set any preferences. But Brown is a terrible color in Caylus. Many of the worker placement spots have brown on much of the tile, which almost exactly matches the brown workers. It's really hard to find the workers that have been placed. I would avoid it like the plague.
