BGA offers the option to only be matched to players above a certain karma level which is great. The highest you can set this level to however is 75%. At this percentage, I’m still running into players that are taking ages to make a move. I can be waiting close to 2 days for them to make a single move. Their profiles usually shows ratings in the 90s, with their last several games being problematic.
I would like to be able to set my matchmaking preferences to only play games against people with a 100% karma rating. The current highest setting, 75%, still means playing against people who time out on 1 in 4 games on average, which is nowhere close to being “very good” karma.
Possible implementations would be adding more options (90% and 100%), or letting players set their own custom value. To make sure players know what they’re doing, you can add a warning when selecting the 100% option. Something like “at this karma level, finding a match may take longer.”
