For example if there is one player that wins, but then two following up players got equal number of points, how does the game determine who become #2 and #3 in the result board?

I tried to read the rules, but it doesn't seem to cover this, but clearly in BGA it have to sort the non-winning players in some way even if they have the same number of points.

In terms of the game itself, there is no further tiebreaker for CATAN - in the situation you describe both players are deemed to have tied and their positions will be shown as 2nd on the results page and ELO will be calculated on that basis.
If you mean in what order does BGA actually display them on the results page then that is less clear. I suspect it's related to their 'seating' positions in the game.

Thank you for explaining. Didn't see that pos 2 & 3 actually was both 2nd but it makes sense if it is able to handle it that way as Catan itself doesn't provide a mechanism to resolve a such tie.
