At the moment the game developer (who is the same for Backgammon as well as backgammon_matchplay) does not seem to have time for this project. At least one bug of Backgammon and a lot of small and big bugs in backgammon_matchplay are not being repaired although they have been reported months ago.
Since he/she is doing this work unpaid and voluntarily one has to accept that and thank him/her for what he/she gave the community with BG. Hopefully he/she will have some more time in the future to finish the project "matchplay"...
