How to find tournament info?

Post by Godsmurf »

When I'm in a tournament, how do I get to a page that shows how many groups there are and how many people qualify for the next round etc? On the game page, all I get to see under the 'Tournament' tab is the name of the tournament and my own group rankings, with no links to more info. Surely it must be possible to find information about the rest of the tournament?

I've also found this information hard to find. So far, the best I've found is to look through the recent activity tab of your profile and click on the tournament link. Another way is within the Tournaments lobby under Play Now. There is a More Filters button that allows you to search for tournaments you are registered for, and another filter for tournaments in progress. I would love to learn of a simpler way.

Thanks, it's ridiculous but at least it's something! :)

Don't forget to bookmark it once you've found it.

Bump this information.

Please add tournament main page in "my current tables" page. So it is easy to find it back. Now I have to take my scoop to find tournament page. A bit frustrating to this truly great feature, tournament.

Here's a trick I use. Starting from any game table (within the tournament), click in the address bar of your browser. The URL should look something like this:
https://boardgamearena.com/3/kingoftoky ... =306850047

Now delete the "3/", i.e. the path segment that is a single digit immediately after "https://boardgamearena.com/". This changes the URL to:
https://boardgamearena.com/kingoftokyo?table=306850047

From that page, near the top, it says: "This game counts for tournament:" and then the name of the tournament as a clickable link.

But why don't we have that clickable link on the game-table page (either within the Tournament tab or else in the top part of the page with the table number and move number, or both)? That would be more convenient. Has anyone made that suggestion in BGA's bug-report system? If so, please post the link here so I can vote for it.
