Record 62pts of energy (see screenshot), competitive game. Anyone beat it?

Post by will1234567890 »

Played a normal game and managed to accumulate 62pts by end of it (screenshot). Wondered if this is a record amount?

It was a competitive game and only tried to maximise points in last few rounds. Didn't previously know the other players and there was no setup for this!

I also spent 7 energy on a frenzy card halfway. Game #328320550

Impressive, but not a record. I have had hundreds of Energy before.

Now I didn't watch your game replay, but I'm guessing you may have had chances to finish the game earlier than how long it lasted?

Once you have combos such as Alien Origin+Metamorph, strengthened by Friend Of Children and Mimic, disabling your opponent with Parasitic Tentacles, keeping them alive with Healing Ray, toying with them, Shrinking their dice with Shrink Ray, etc...
It was also an opponent I didn't know before, but once I had the game in the bag, I aopologised to him and informed him I was going to test how far the game would take me. And I did.

It was also an earlier version of the game, where the VP wasn't limited to 20 yet, and in my final turn I gained 100+ VP(Media Friendly)

I ended with 227 Energy and 102 VP

It was a 10 round competitive game. Not overly padded out. Could of maybe finished 2 rounds earlier with optimal play. I doubt it can be beaten in same number of rounds as I got an insane start.

I totally get that it's possible to achieve high energy amounts given right cards and enough rounds.

Thanks for sharing.
